Vintage Grass Green Givre Glass Brooch

The central element and surrounding pear-shaped stones appear to be a type of opaque green art glass, often referred to as "Peking glass" or "faux jade". The piece features large, opaque green glass cabochons and smaller, faceted green rhinestones set in a gold-tone metal base. The larger, pear shaped stones have a smooth, sometimes slightly mottled finish designed to mimic the appearance of jadeite. It is similar to designs and stones used by Juliana/D&E, but I am not convinced that it is. Whoever made it, is is unusual and so beautiful.
