This beautiful book is an excellent exploration into the masterpieces of Islamic Art held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It was edited by Maryam D. Ekhtiar, Priscilla P. Soucek, Sheila R. Canby, and Navina Najat Haidar. It was distributed by Yale University Press and was printed in Belgium and has 431 pages, with Glossary, index and bibliography. It is beyond lavishly illustrated.
This catalog was printed in conjunction with reopening of the Galleries for the Art for the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia, in November 2011.
