Edith Head Collection Doll: Cleo in “The Big Broadcast” (1998)
This gorgeous doll is “Cleo” from the 1938 film “the Big Broadcast” as portrayed by Shirley Ross. The film also starred Dorothy Lamour, W. C. Fields and Bob Hope. The doll was produced in 1998 at the beginning of Robert Tonner’s doll making journey.
She wears a two piece midriff baring dress of gold lame and a lavish skirt. Her accessories are a matching hat with gold braid and a feather, luxurious jeweled earrings and gold pumps. Her lipstick matches her nail polish. Her hair is a rich auburn which accents her pale porcelain skin beautifully.
LL Knickerbocker Co. Hand numbered 633, includes COA , and original box. The doll measures 18 inches tall with hat, and arrives in the original box.
