"The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking" Classic by Dale Carnegie

"The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking" by Dale Carnegie, is a classic non-fiction self-help guide to public speaking and communication skills. The book is a revision by Dorothy Carnegie of Dale Carnegie's earlier work, Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business. Carnegie was a pioneer in personal development. The book was initially published in 1962.The book aims to help people overcome the fear of public speaking and develop confidence and skill in communication. It emphasizes practical, step-by-step instructions and techniques over abstract theory. 

Key Principles: Build confidence, speak authentically, organize ideas, engage the audience and be natural. The structure is event, followed by action, ending in result. He stress that it is important to speak in a conversational tone, and how it is better to have an understanding and ability to explain the subject, rather than memorizing the information. These are concepts that still work after 60+ years. 

It was first published in 1931 under the title Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business . This is a revised, posthumous edition with revisions by Dorothy Carnegie, and published in 1962.  This  dust jacket of this edition features a stylized sketch of Dale Carnegie on a plain background, and a similar sketch of Dorothy Carnegie on the back cover.
