The New York Shakespeare Festival produced this version of “A Chorus Line” in association with Plum Productions. It was conceived, choreographed and directed by Michael Bennet. There are many articles by each of the people responsible for the creation of the show, from Marvin Hamlisch to James Kirkwood. Interviews with the cast and many black and photos fill the pages. There are two pages which fold out.  It’s a great souvenir and even has a history of the New York Theater Festival.

Playbill is familiar to most theatregoers in New York City, as it is  given out at each performance. There is an issue specific to the production one is seeing, and articles on other theater news, not to mention ads and suggestions for international dining in New York. This issue pertains to the 1985 production of “A Chorus Line” which tells the story of various performers and the choreographer, as auditions take place for a show. The revival was staged at the Schubert Theatre. Vol. 3, No.11, 66 pages.  There is a full list of the performers, crew and songs performed. Great Broadway memorabilia !
