This beauty measures 3” across and seems every changing in the light- sometimes it appears to have red, other times clear honey, other times rich brown. It’s an excellent example of faux tortoise, and shows the remarkable craftsmanship found in Carnegie pieces. It is surrounded by a rope frame and has dogtooth-style prongs. It is signed Hattie Carnegie in script on a raised oval.
