Feast your eyes on this rich necklace endearing set. It could have come from a Renaissance portrait of an Italian noblewoman. Necklace has at its focal point a large round medallion wit orange rope metalwork around the edges, surrounding an oval cabochon red stone, itself surrounded byrope twisted open metal. The pendant measures 1.5” around. There is some wear to the back. I’m a little puzzled by this piece. It has a lovely weight to it, but is not signed. It is suspended from a heavy rope chain measuring 24” long with a spring clasp.
The matching earrings are hinge back and measure 1.25” -just look at the metalwork on the reverse!
